About the Museum
The South Pasadena Historical Museum is housed in a storefront built in 1886, the oldest building in South Pasadena’s original business district. It is designated as a city historic landmark (South Pasadena Landmark #5) and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
The building is owned by the City of South Pasadena and has been operated by the South Pasadena Preservation Foundation since 1987.
Today, the Museum showcases a growing collection of artifacts that tell the rich and evolving story of South Pasadena-its people, its past, its architecture and its sense of community.
We invite you to visit and discover the history of this remarkable city.
