October 25 @ 3pm: Our Annual Fall Walking Tour
Exploring Altos de Monterey
This year, we’ll explore the midcentury neighborhood of Altos de Monterey. With its winding streets, panoramic views, and distinctive architecture, the neighborhood tells the story of South Pasadena’s postwar expansion. Developed in the 1960s, it transformed the city’s rugged southwestern hills into its largest modern residential development, a striking contrast to South Pasadena’s well-known Victorian and Craftsman neighborhoods.
A reception will follow, featuring refreshments, libations, light bites, and an opportunity to mingle.
Two walking tour tickets per year are included with membership. Non-members are also invited and very welcome to join us for $25 per person.
