This program is designed to be simple, social and meaningful.

You don’t need to be a historian.

You don’t need prior experience.

You just need a friendly spirit and a love for community.

What is the Family & Friends Program?

Family & Friends docents serve in pairs – bring a friend, a spouse, a neighbor, or we’ll help match you.

Each pair:

• Serves two Saturdays per year.
• Hosts the Museum from 11:00AM to 1:00PM.
• Welcomes visitors and help create a warm, inviting experience.

 What You’ll Do on Your Saturday

• Greet visitors as they arrive.
• Share a few highlights about the museum (we’ll guide you).
• Answer simple questions-or say, “I’m not sure, but let me find out!”
• Keep an eye on the space.
• Enjoy the stories and conversations that unfold.

We’ll give you everything you need to feel comfortable.

 We Make It Easy

You’ll have access to a simple Docent Hub, including:

• Your schedule
• A quick end-of-shift report
• Short friendly guides (tutorials)

No long training sessions-just what you want, when you need it.
